The military expenditures spent by the US during the first 25 days of its operation bombing Afghanistan in October 2001 could have fed all 33,000,000 hungry Americans for the same amount of time.

This amount of money ($800 million) is more than double the total wages earned by all 24 million people in Afghanistan during the same 25 days.
